Marina Budiman ( Director ) |
| |
| |
 |
Graduated in commerce from University of Toronto, Canada. Marina started her career in 1985 as a management trainee at Bank Bali, one of the most progressive private commercial banks in Indonesia. After the training, she was assigned to the audit section and then to marketing department as an account officer for corporate customers. She began to play a much more significant role when Bank Bali decided to use Midas banking application software and she was recruited to represent the users in the implementation team. That was also how she first got into the world of information technology.
She joined Sigma Cipta Caraka in 1989, just as the Indonesian government began deregulating the banking industry and demands for banking-specific IT services were beginning to increase exponentially. Sigma Cipta Caraka, a very young IT company at that time, was already specializing on this particular industry. Her involvement made tremendous contribution to the 19-people company, as she was able to talk with their clients using “the same language”.
With a strong background in commerce, she is best equipped to undertake the challenging task of translating the group’s overall vision into strategic directions of the other companies in Sigma’s community, and this is just part of her current set of responsibilities. Being in the holding company, she is also in charge of outlining the near-term as well as long-term corporate plans for each subsidiary, including giving them strategic directions and ensuring the alignment of their operations with Sigma’s overall vision and missions.
Her favorite pastime is playing with her children.
